Hubby breaks wife’s hands over affair

Colombo: A woman has been hospitalised with serious injuries to her head and hands after beaten by her husband with a stick.

Sri Lankan news website ‘Mawbima’ reported that the suspect got furious when he came to know about her wife’s extramarital affair with a soldier and beat her badly with the stick.

Police said the husband hit on her head but two of her hands were also broken when she tried to protect herself from the beating.

The suspect confessed to the police about his crime and would be produced before the Dehiattakandiya magistrate court.

The husband told police that he had found telephonic conversation between his wife and her boyfriend.

Padiyatalawa Police are investigating the case.
