International terrorism expert Prof. Dr. Rohan Gunaratna told ‘Daily News’ on that all three pro-LTTE factions are lobbying ahead of the UNHCR sessions in Geneva in March.

Tamil Ealam People’s Assembly (TEPA) led by Perinpanayagam Sivaparan alias Nediyawan in Norway, the Global Tamil Forum (GTF) led by Father S. J. Emmanuel and the Transnational Government of Tamil Ealam (TGTE) led by V. Rudrakumaran are the three factions according to Prof. Dr. Gunaratna.

He said that these individuals have emerged as the champions of human rights, overnight, although they participated, supported and advocated killing of civilians, and citing an example, he said, trained LTTE cadre Nediyawan, who succeeded Prabhakaran, is leading the charge.

Nediyawan has instructed supporters to gather between 2 pm and 5.30 pm before the UN Office in Geneva on March 4, operating through the Tamil Coordinating Committee, Switzerland.

Prof. Dr. Gunaratna said that Nediyawan has instructed the supporters to fly the LTTE flag, since the Swiss do not regard the LTTE as a terrorist group.

Propagandist like Father Emmanuel and some LTTE cadres are likely to visit primarily to thank the NGOs, especially Human Rights NGOs, either LTTE fronts or funded by the LTTE for their participation and hard work, he said.
