Four students who were allegedly beaten by a school teacher and her husband in Kumbuksevana area of Kekirawa has been admitted to Kekirawa hospital.
Kekirawa Police sources said that a teacher of the Tibbotuwawa Vidyala said to be involved in this incident and her husband has been taken into custody.
It is said that when the suspect teacher and her husband were walking on the road on Feb 15 evening, a group of students teased them.
The angry duo then assaulted the students.
Following complaints made by parents of students, police investigated the matter and took the couple in custody.
The victims are students of Grade 4; Grades 9 and 10.
A spokesman of the Kekirawa hospital said that the conditions of the students who are admitted to the hospital are not critical.
The court will hear their case.
