Suicide bombing kills 20 in Afghan mosque

A suicide bomber killed at least 20 people and wounded more than 50 when he struck inside a mosque in Maymana city in northern Afghanistan during Eid al-Adha holiday prayers on Friday, officials said.

"We have 20 people dead. Police are also among the victims. More than 50 were wounded as a result of the explosion," the Faryab provincial governor's spokesman, Ahmad Jawed Baidar, told AFP.
