These are the world's least powerful passports

German citizens can visit 177 countries without a visa.

German citizens possess the world's most powerful passport, according Arton Capital’s Passport Index, with Britain and the US falling just short of the top spot.

The index ranks every passport according to how many countries it allows the holder to enter without a visa.

Owners of powerful passports, Germany and Sweden hold the number one spot jointly can travel the world generally unhindered by red tape.

But a person travelling on one of the least powerful passports will need to obtain a visa before entering a the majority of countries.

An Afghan passport the least powerful globally, permits the holder to enter 24 countries visa-free, whereas a Swedish or German passport holder can enter 158.
