Traffic officer accused of molesting woman

A Kuwait woman is accusing a traffic police officer of molesting her by touching what she described as a sensitive part of her body when he stopped her car in the Gulf emirate, a newspaper reported on Thursday.

The 39-year-old woman told investigators that the traffic police captain stopped her car in Kuwait City at night and asked for her driving licence, Alanba said.

“The woman said he stopped her to give her a ticket for violating traffic rules and asked for her driving licence,” the paper said.

“She said that when she refused to given him the licence, he put his hand on a sensitive part of her body.”

The paper said the unnamed woman is filing a molestation case against the captain, who denied the charges and would sue the woman for defamation.
