We should stand by Saudi: UAE minister

The UAE should stand by Saudi Arabia against a vicious hostile campaign that was triggered by long-standing hatred of the Gulf Kingdom, the UAE’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs said in Twitter remarks on Saturday.

Anwar Gargash described the attack on Saudi Arabia as a “mixture of score-settling old files and hatred” targeting its values and positions in the world.

“We all should be the front blocking wall against this vicious attack because we are brothers in blood and religion.

“The logic is that there is no stability and prosperity in the entire region without Saudi Arabia,” he said on his Twitter page.

“It is strange that some Western writers are far from being objective by biasing with Tehran against Riyadh, ignoring the accumulation of hostile stands by Iran.”

Gargash hailed Arab countries for siding and support Saudi Arabia against this campaign, stressing that “targeting Saudi Arabia is targeting us all”.

“I have previously stated that Saudi Arabia is targeted. I believe that this campaign is systematic and heinous. It is an unjust campaign that surpasses Riyadh to target our own stability and life.”
