Wife, 3 girls survive their throats being slit

An Egyptian slaughtered his wife and his three daughters while they were sleeping inside their apartment.

The murder took place after his eldest daughter insulted him that he was not shouldering his responsibility as a father and that she was the one who was managing the house financially, reported Sada Al Balad newspaper.

Cairo Police received notice about the arrival of the bodies of a housewife and her three daughters to the hospital with their throats slit.

Police opened extensive investigations, which confirmed that the crime was committed by the victim's husband.

They arrested the accused in Rawdh Al-Faraj area where he was hiding.

Investigations confirmed that the defendant suffers from mental illness. On the day of the crime, he awoke late at night and saw his daughter talking on a cell phone with her fiancé.

He tried to prevent his daughter from talking to her fiancé at this late time but she refused and charged him over not taking his responsibility as a father and cursed him saying that she was the one who was taking care of house expenditures.

The angry father waited to make sure all were asleep and then brought a knife and slit his wife’s neck and his three daughters’.

His son fled and appealed to his neighbors who rushed to the victims ' apartment, where they found the victims in a pool of blood.

Took them quickly to the hospital where they underwent surgery and were still in danger.

Investigation indicated that the defendant is mentally ill and was offended by his daughter and then he decided to end their lives.

The police referred the case to the public prosecution.
