Aramex, the global logistics and transportation solutions provider, on Monday announced the full resumption of its Egypt operations, following their temporary suspension due to civil unrest.
As a precautionary measure, Aramex’s Egypt operations were suspended temporarily in order to ensure the safety of its employees in the country. Having closely monitored the situation Aramex was able to resume full operations on Saturday, February 5, 2011.
Samer Gharaibeh, Aramex Chief Executive Officer in Africa, said: “The safety of our employees has been our number one priority throughout the current period in Egypt. After a short suspension, our operations in the country have resumed. We will continue to closely monitor developments in Egypt to ensure we are able to meet the needs of our customers while ensuring the safety of our employees.”
Egyptians have been protesting against the Hosni Mubarak government for nearly two weeks.
