China to buy Boeing planes worth $19bn

China plans to buy 200 Boeing aircraft worth an estimated $19 billion, a senior US administration official said Wednesday.

"The Chinese government will announce that it will approve the purchase of 200 Boeing aircraft, with an estimated value of $19 billion dollars," the official said on the margins of President Hu Jintao's US state visit to Washington.
