Doc blinded my son with Ali Saleh's name: Dad

In a bizarre case alleging medical malpractice, the father of a 2-year old boy in Yemen claims a doctor caused his son to lose his sight and key faculties simply because the boy shared the same name with former Yemeni president Ali Abdullah Saleh.

According to the Al Rai Kuwaiti newspaper, the father has filed a police complaint accusing the physician of injecting his son with an inappropriate drug which caused him to lose his sight and left his brain damaged.

The father said the physician lost his temper when he discovered that the child’s name was Ali Abdullah Saleh.

The father Abdullah Saleh Al Amisi said: “The doctor was initially keen on treatment, but when asked for his name and knew that the name of the child was similar to the former Yemeni president's name he completely changed.”

The father added that the child has since been fully unable to walk or talk properly.

The father said that he took the boy to a specialist in Cairo, Egypt, was told the child is now suffering from atrophy of the brain.

Man klls his own rapist

An Egyptian man was convicted of murdering a man who had sexually assaulted him previously reported Akbar Al Youm.

The culprit, AA, 36 year old hardware dealer turned himself in after the killing his rapist.

Egypt police received information about a body of a criminal identified as AS, which was found cut into two halves and the intestines removed.

AA had confessed to the crime and justified the murder.

He testified that AS along with his two brothers had raped him when they were in prison.

AA could bear the emotional torture which burdened him. He then decided to take revenge for this horrific crime.

With vengeance AA approached AS and asked him to accompany to a place where two women awaited his arrival.

Upon reaching the decided destination AA stabbed him with a sword. When AS began running, AA got more furious and slit his head.

This did not still satisfy AA so he copped AS into two and removed his intestines.

The culprit confessed to the police about the crime and handed himself in. AA will be charged of four crimes - drugs, thefts and attempted murder.
