Eleven dead in Canada road accident

Eleven people were killed Monday when two vehicles collided on a highway in Canada's Ontario province, police were quoted as saying by local media.

A passenger van with 13 people on board and a truck collided near the city of Stratford, the reports said. Ten of the people in the van and the truck driver were killed, provincial police said.

Stratford, a small city of more than 30,000, is home to a famous Shakespeare festival.
