An Italian pensioner shot dead three people including his wife and then turned the gun on himself in the northern city of Genoa on Sunday, ANSA news agency reported.
Carlo Trabona, who was around 70, killed his wife in their apartment before walking to a local bar and shooting two of his neighbours, the report said.
Trabona shot himself in the head after 30 minutes of negotiations with the police.
Investigators suspected Trabona, who had a history of psychiatric problems, became jealous when he suspected his wife was having an affair with one of the two men, ANSA reported.
