Officials say four people were killed after their chartered plane overshot a wet runway in Papua New Guinea and burst into flames.
Australian Foreign Minister Stephen Smith says three Australians and one New Zealander are among the dead. One other New Zealander survived the crash with heavy bruising.
The Trans Air jet crashed Tuesday on remote and mountainous Misima Island in the country's southeast Milne Bay province.
Witnesses told local officials that the plane skidded off the runway in wet and windy weather and crashed into nearby trees before bursting into flames.
