Man kills wife over Facebook affair

An American engineer murdered his British wife by stabbing her 23 times after he learnt she was having an affair with a Facebook friend.

Harold Landry, 64, attacked his 38-year-old wife Lucy with a granite rolling pin, before stabbing her to death as he wasinfuriated that she regularly invited her lover over when he was away, reported 'Daily Mail'.

A neighbour found her collapsed, with a knife sticking out of her side, just yards from the detached £800,000 home they shared on a private estate in Pershore, Worcestershire.

The court heard that Landry, a ‘wealthy man’ who did not need to work and had various assets, including property in the US and Mexico, antiques, coins and stamp collections and bars of silver, had met his wife on an internet site.

They married in 2002.

But by August 2009, their relationship had gone ‘sour’ and Lucy had started exchanging Facebook messages with former schoolfriend Gareth Jenkins.

"Pretty soon after, divorce proceedings began and the couple began living separate lives in the marital home.

Landry, who suffers from prostate cancer, changed his will so she would not benefit and they had constant arguments over this, the court heard.

Last year, Lucy found another place to live but didn't have money to support herself. Landry refused to give her money.

Neighbour Kennedy said the couple frequently argued. On the evening of February 1, when Kennedy returned home from work at 9pm to find a card informing him that a parcel he had been sent was at the Landrys’ home. When he went to collect the parcel, Landry invited him over but feeling uncomfortable, he made an his excuse and left.

That night, Landry attacked Lucy with a rolling pin, causing a ‘large gash down her cheek’, and chased her around the house. He allegedly had her in a headlock and they struggled before she ran outside. He chased her and stabbed her 23 times with a kitchen knife and left her dying in a hedge, the court heard.

Kennedy heard Lucy shout and ran outside to see Lucy on the ground with a  knife sticking out of the side of her body. He knew that she was dead.’

Landry denies murder, but accepts manslaughter.

The case continues.

Young mum's body found in suitcase

BRITAIN: The badly-decomposed body of a young mum has been found stuffed in a suitcase - after her partner allegedly told friends she had left him and gone to live abroad.

Police discovered Marie Stewart's remains hidden in the garage at her home. She had been repeatedly knifed and beaten, reports The Sun.

Classroom assistant Marie, 30, was last seen before Christmas. One neighbour claimed partner Andrew Lindo - a music teacher - had told them she dumped him and their toddler children to "live the dream" with a lover in Lanzarote.

Marie's Facebook page has been repeatedly updated in the weeks since she vanished and friends got texts from her phone saying she was "safe and well."

Boss sued by thief employee

ESSEX: An angry boss who frogmarched an employee to a police station with a sign saying "thief" around his neck has had to pay the man £13,000 — after the crook sued him for "humiliation".

Simon Cremer paraded light-fingered Mark Gilbert through the streets of Witham, Essex, wearing the handmade cardboard sign saying: "THIEF. I Stole £845 am on my way to the police station."

He took him to the police station after discovering the father-of-three had written out a company cheque to himself and taken it to Cash Converters in October 2008.

Gilbert, 40, admitted the crime and was let off with a police caution while his boss Cremer was hauled into court facing a life sentence for false imprisonment until the case against him collapsed.

To add insult to injury Gilbert then sued Cremer for his "humiliation".

And the flooring firm boss has now had to pay out £5,000 in compensation and £8,000 court costs to the worker who stole from him.

Father raped teenage daughter to have baby for infertile girlfriend

BRITAIN: An English father, who repeatedly raped his 16-year-old daughter, has said he wanted her to provide a child for his interfile girlfriend.

The 46-year-old from Cambridgeshire village groomed and then abused the girl, who has the mental age of a seven-year-old, on a daily basis after his wife left him three years ago, reports the Daily Mail.

She eventually gave birth to a boy but told the authorities an ex-boyfriend had made her pregnant after her father threatened to kill himself if she revealed the truth.

The sickening abuse only came to an end after the teenager contacted police when she discovered he had also raped her 14-year-old friend after plying her with alcohol.

The man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was given an indeterminate jail term at Cambridge Crown Court today after he was convicted of three rapes, sexual activity with a child, sexual assault of a child and perverting the course of justice.

Judge Jonathan Haworth said he would serve a minimum of seven years and 45 days, adding he posed a 'serious risk' to teenage girls.

His daughter, who is now 19, gave birth in December 2008 but it was not until March last year that she contacted police after learning her friend had been raped during a visit to their home.

During the trial, the father's former lover denied his version of events and said she had never planned to have a child with him.

She said he had lost interest in her when he found out she had had a hysterectomy.

At the weekend it was claimed Warne, 41, romped with porn star Chloe Conrad, 26, in a hotel suite where he stayed with Liz.
