Australian woman gets pregnant twice in 10 days

An Australian woman became shocked after conceiving twins 10 days apart from each other after being told she wouldn't be able to have a baby due to an ovary condition.

Kate Hill was told she may never become pregnant after suffering from polycystic ovary syndrome, a condition, which meant she couldn't ovulate.

Kate was surprised to learn she was expecting a baby with her husband Peter Hill but received a bigger shock when she found out she had conceived a second child ten days later.

Ten months on the couple welcomed baby girl twins Charlotte and Olivia into the world, which are reportedly of different sizes, weights and gestational development.

A shocked Mrs Hill told Australia's Seven Network: "We actually did not realise how special that was until they were born."

According to reports there have been only 10 cases of the rare conception, known as superfoetation, documented across the world.
