Dad burns child's genitals to stop urination

A Saudi man used a hot iron to burn the genitals of his little son to stop his involuntary urination while asleep, a newspaper reported on Saturday.

The wife said she had filed a compliant to police against her divorced husband for burning the genitals of her four-year-old son to prevent him from urination during his night sleep, Okaz Arabic language daily said in a report from the western Red Sea port of Yanbu.

It quoted a human rights activist in the Kingdom as saying his group would support the mother against her ex-husband at court.

"We will meet the mother and her son to verify the torture and make sure she will get protection and have custody of her son," said Ibrahim Al Nahyati, assistant director of the Saudi Human Rights Commission in the central town of Makkah.

“If her accusations are true, then the Commission will support her at court…this is a flagrant violation of children’s rights and human rights in the kingdom.

Rat-loving couple has 28 rodents at home

But not so for a couple in Leeds, who have set aside a whole room for their beloved brood.

Rodent lovers Kate and Kevin Rattray have 28 rodents and say "they make fantastic pets", reports local media in UK.

"They are very intelligent and interactive.

They are up at the bars to greet us when we come in from work and we let them out to play.

They definitely have personalities and they’re great fun to spend time with," says Rattray.

Jermaine Pennant -- once Britain's most expensive teenage football player -- forgot he owned a Porsche and left the car at a train station for six months.

The former star of English Premier League, who owns a collection of sports cars, forgot the Porsche in Spain when he left Spanish club Real Zaragoza last August.

The car's keys were left on the passenger seat.

Authorities contacted him after tracking the owner's details down. And he just said he forgot the car.

The 28-year-old footballer who joined Arsenal for £2 million ($3.19m) as a 15-year-old schoolboy, was paid £80,000 ($128,000) a week during a year with the Spanish club.

Formula 1 star Jenson Button's dad sparked a police hunt in Italy when he reported that his Ferrari was stolen.

But John Button, 65, later realised he had actually parked it in another town.

Button Sr told police that he feared the Ferrari 550 might have been stolen from where it was parked in Alassio that he confused for neighbouring Laigueglia with almost identical layout.

By the time he realised the folly, police had spent more than 48 hours scouring the two for the £50,000 supercar, reports The Daily Telegraph.

"It's all a bit embarrassing, but the roads that lead into Alassio and Laigueglia are almost identical, even the railings look the same, and they both have a fork in them," said Mr Button.

"The police found it quite amusing and once things had been resolved said 'Give our regards to Jenson'."

"Funnily enough it was not the loss of the car that upset me, it was the thought that I might have lost a camera with some amazing shots from a trip to Kyoto. I know I'm going to get a bit of ribbing over the whole thing," the report quoted Button as saying.

A woman who said she wanted to urinate on ice has allegedly attacked two ice fishermen in Michigan with fish.

The 29-year-old woman who approached the two men in their twenties who were fishing with the request to turn their heads away since she wanted to urinate was actually using the opportunity to attack them, police said.

Police Lieutenant Jon Gale told the Muskegon Chronicle: "While their backs were turned the woman struck the first complainant in the head with a fish.

"The female then approached them and struck the other man across the face with a fish."

Some words were exchanged before the woman returned to her shanty nearby.

She later told police that she was upset that the men put their shanty too close to her's.

The men however did not want to press charges.
