Huge hairball removed from girl's stomach

Doctors in China removed a huge hairball that occupied 70 percent of a 12-year-old girl's stomach, according to Geobeats.

The girl's mother sought medical help because the girl had been losing weight and her long hair over the past year. After undergoing CT scans, she was found to have a nearly foot-long mass, geobeats says.

Following surgery, the mother and doctor were stunned to find it was a mass of hair.

The mother said she had seen her daughter put hair in her mouth but didn't give it a second thought. She was diagnosed with a psychological disorder that causes her to eat hair, dirt and other bizarre items
