Image of 'Phantom' sells for millions of dollars

A lensman took an amazing image of what can be best described as a black and white ghost like figure at Arizona's Antelope Canyon.

The image dubbed as 'Phantom' has earned the photographer $7.8 million, reports ABC news.

The new owner of the picture is a private collector and wishes to remain anonymous.

"The purpose of all my photos is to capture the power of nature and convey it in a way that inspires someone to feel passionate and connected to the image," the photographer Peter Lik told the website.

Lik was born in Melbourne to a Czech couple and he has been hooked to photography from the age of eight when his parents had bought him a Kodak Brownie camera.
