A sheep was sold for SR300,000 (Dh300,000) at an auction in Saudi Arabia during which scores of farmers rushed to buy the rare animal.
The auction was held in the Saudi capital Riyadh this week and the sheep of the rare Shami (Syrian) breed, was owned by well-known farmer Aref Al Saleel.
“There was a rush by many farmers to buy this rare sheep. The action fetched its owner SR300,000,” Arar Arabic language daily said.
