Woman gets discount for seeing rat in US diner

A woman was handed a receipt with a note saying "seen rat" and a discount of her food bill.

The customer's receipt, which has since gone viral, was given to her with the words "seen rat" under the name of the waiter which served them.

However, the owner of Fat's Family Restaurant, Kevin Fat strongly denied that the diner in California has a pest problem, and said his employee needs to learn a valid lesson.

According the Metro newspaper, he commented: "In our 14 years in Folsom, we have not experienced something like this before."

After an examination of the food place, an inspector added:

"I think with the weather, it's possible that one came in, maybe the back door, and maybe wandered around the dining room and was chased back out."
