A Saudi man whose fiancée decided to leave him turned to the walls to take revenge. He spent most of the day writing the name and phone number of his ex-fiancée on the walls of her neighbourhood and the adjoining market place.

The 29-year-old Saudi girl from the western town of Makkah had agreed to be engaged to the 33-year-old man who had claimed to be a police officer with high salary. But he later turned out to be a private security employee with a monthly wage of SR1,500 ($405).

“She and her family then decided to dump him but he did not accept this and decided to take revenge,” Sabq newspaper said on Tuesday.

“He wrote her name and mobile number on all walls in the neighbourhood and the nearby market place…..she was then flooded with calls from unknown people, prompting her to change her mobile number….he then wrote the mobile numbers of her mother and sisters on the wall, prompting the family to call the police, who arrested him.”
