Teacher's top pupils get Samsung Galaxy phones

A Saudi teacher became the first educationist in the Gulf Kingdom to make an innovative gesture towards his students when he presented Samsung Galaxy smartphones to the three top school boys in his class.

Mohammed Al Gamdi, a mathematics teacher at Al Hassan bin Sifian primary school in the Western Red Sea port of Jeddah, bought the phones from his own pocket as a gift for the best three performers in his class.

“The teacher said he wanted to honour those pupils and motivate them into keeping the good work,” 'Sada' newspaper said.
