We're so addicted to our smartphones, we often fail to appreciate the moment.

A boat tripper missed an extraordinary moment of his lifetime as he was glued to his smartphone while a humpback whale surfaced just a few feet away from his boat.

An Instagram image shows how a small sailboat went really close to the whale and this person never moved or looked up from his mobile phone.
