A man in South Africa received a windfall when R500,000 was transferred to his bank account as a result of an error, according to Times Live.

The man who made the costly mistake approached the court to help him get his money back. Michael Mochudi, managing director of Motsi Civils and Plant Hire in Welkom, did not place a comma in the correct place and as a result, the money was transferred to the wrong account.

Michael called up the surprised recipient of half-a-million but the man refused to give up the bounty and claimed that he had given R400,000 to his wife who had invested R260,000.

Michael asked the court to get those accounts frozen so they would not be able to spend any money.

The court has yet to arrive at a conclusion.
