Woman wins lottery after dying
A Minnesota woman won $15,000 in the lottery a month after she died, with her husband left surprised as he did not know she even played, KARE-TV reported.
Ginny McCauley, of Cottage Grove, Minn., died of cancer in November, but two friends she played the lottery with for 30 years continued to buy a ticket.
At Christmas they scooped $45,000 and rang their late friend's husband, Paul McCauley, to share the winnings with him.
Paul McCauley said he was convinced it was his wife's way of getting the last word and he knew exactly how the Green Bay Packers fan would have spent the money.
"If she was alive ... we'd go to Dallas [for the Super Bowl]," Paul McCauley said.
