Liverpool favourites to sign Birmingham's Dann

Liverpool are reported to be favourites to get Birmingham's £8m-rated centre-back Scott Dann.

Fellow defender Soto Kyrgiakos quit the Reds for Wolfsburg yesterday.

Meanwhile, according to The Sun, AC MILAN are hopeful of signing Liverpool midfielder Alberto Aquilani.

The Italy international spent last season on loan at Juventus before returning to Anfield earlier this summer.

The Serie A champions are looking to bolster their midfield after failing to lure Fiorentina's Riccardo Montolivo to the San Siro.

Milan owner Silvio Berlusconi said: "Aquilani is a great player. We are discussing the possibility of signing him."
