Manchester United will be cheering this exit if it ever happens.
Spain and Manchester City star David Silva is reported to be the target of a £30million bid from Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho.
According to a report in The Sun, Mourino has decided to table the offer after observing how important the midfielder was to City's successful Barclays Premier League campaign last season.
And United can be the first to testify of Silva's silken skills.
However, the 26-year-old former Valencia midfielder has indicated he wants to remain under Roberto Mancini.
Silva's agent, Julio Llorente said recently: :David has signed a long deal with Manchester City and is very happy at the club.
“Football is always unpredictable but he wants to stay in England.
“Real Madrid is a big club as well and they were interested when he was at Valencia (the club he left to join City) but the deal was not possible.”
