6-a-side cricket match in Abu Dhabi on Friday

The Abu Dhabi Cricket Club is hosting a 6-a-side cricket tournament at the Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium on Friday on behalf of Ministry of Labour and is supported by du.

5 International cricketers will be taking part which include Abdul Razzaq, Shoaib Malik, Fawad Alam, Sohail Tanveer and Imran Nazir.

The event is one of many organised by the Ministry of Labour and du to promote this year's Labour Day celebrations. The Cricket Tournament will start at 10am and finish at approximately 6pm. Entrance is free and the gates will be opened at 9:15am.

On 29 April, a Labour Marathon involving workers from several companies across the UAE was held at Yas Circuit where du rewarded the top 10 performers with attractive prizes.

Farid Faraidooni, Chief Commercial Officer, du, said: "There is no doubt on the integral role played by labourers in the development of our country's economic infrastructure, and that is why we were the first to provide them with a customised communication package "alo" to keep them in touch with their friends and family. We have supported the Ministry's Labour Day activities in honour and gratitude of their role in building our beloved Emirates."
