Rohit Behal rocked Petrochem Sindhi Kings with a fine all-round performance to propel Multiplex Sindhi Rockstars to a three-wicket win in the Sindhi Premier Cricket League which is being organised by the Sindhi Cricket Club under the auspices of the Dubai Cricket Council (DCC) at 7he Sevens ground on Sunday night.
Behal grabbed two wickets to restrict Petrochem for 125 and steered them to victory with a solid knock of 47.
It was sweet revenge for the Rockstars who had lost to Petrochem in their first meeting.
Opting to bat, Petrochem lost Nilesh Shewakramani early but Deep Kundani (27) and Rahul Chattwani (40) steadied the innings with some sensible batting.
The duo managed a decent partnership but once they departed none of the other batsmen could hang in there and take the team to a healthy total.
Credit should go to the Rockstars bowlers who constantly kept pegging at the Petrochem batsmen with wickets at regular intervals.
At one stage it looked like an easy victory for Rockstars but after scoring 75 for 2 there was a sudden collapse.
Luckily for them Behal and Ajay Sapru had done enough damage in the beginning which helped the tail to just see the team home.
Behal's 47 came off 43 balls and consisted of a six and five boundaries.
