Saqib cracks ton in Abu Dhabi Gymkhana win

Saqib Shah sent Wings XI CC bowlers on a leather hunt scoring a blistering century as Abu Dhabi Gymkhana secured a big 136-run victory in the 39th Bukhatir League ‘A’ Division Tournament organised by the Sharjah Cricket Council.

Winning the toss and offering Abu Dhabi Gymkhana to bat first turned to be a huge mistake for Wings XI as Saqib tore apart the bowlers.

His amazing knock of 159 from an equal number of balls contained 14 hits to the fence and six over it.

Mohammad Shafique played a cameo later during the innings scoring a brisk 48 from only 37 deliveries including two fours and three sixes as Abu Dhabi Gymkhana amassed 289 for eight in 50 overs.

Wings XI succumbed to pressure as they lost four quick wickets for just 21 runs on board.

Shahid Yousuf (57) and Fawad Khan (39) struck in the middle but could only delay the inevitable as Wings XI were bundled out for 153 in 32.2 overs.
