Indian cricket team captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni is coming to Dubai.

Not to play a cricket match, but to launch a new perfume brand, that the star cricket has been closely associated with.

On January 30, 2013, Madinat Jumeira in Dubai will host the global launch of 7 by MS Dhoni, an exclusive line up of fragrances developed by celebrated cricketer MS Dhoni and Beauty Contact.

"The development of the new line builds on my own preferences for fragrances that remain fresh and have an international appeal," Dhoni said in an earlier statement.

Dhoni is the first Indian cricketer to have his own line of fragrances.

The Economic Times reported that Dhoni’s estimated earnings from brand endorsements is over Rs70 crore (Dh60 million) a year.

India's World Cup winning captain is one of only two cricketers named among the top 100 highest paid athletes in the Forbes rich-list announced last year.

The other is Indian batting icon Sachin Tendulkar.

Dhoni is said to be earning more than world number one golfer Rory McIlroy who is spoken of in the same breath as Tiger Woods.

Dhoni ranked 30 in the Forbes rich-list is above Manchester United and England striker Wayne Rooney (37), top ranked tennis player Novak Djokovic (61) and also earns more than Olympic spring legend Usain Bolt (63).

Considered to be one of the most destructive batsman in one-day cricket, Dhoni's leadership qualities have come under fire following a series of Test series losses to Australia and England.

However, India's talismanic captain has bounced back to win the ODI series at home against England leading from the front.
