Late replacement Lendl Simmons led a charmed life to blast 82 not out and carry West Indies to a nail-biting seven-wicket win in the last over against India in the second semi-final of the World Twenty20 on Thursday.

Captain Eoin Morgan said England were in dreamland after crushing New Zealand by seven wickets in New Delhi on Wednesday to qualify for cricket's World Twenty20 final.

Hashim Amla struck an unbeaten 56 to guide South Africa to a comprehensive eight-wicket victory over champions Sri Lanka in a low-scoring World Twenty20 dead rubber on Monday.

Sri Lanka, who lost for the third time in four games, finished level on points with Afghanistan. The top two, West Indies and England, qualified for the last four.

West Indies will face India in the World Twenty20 last four after losing to Afghanistan by six runs in their final Super 10 stage match on Sunday, while England will play New Zealand in the other semi-final..
