Chelsea are considering recalling Romelu Lukaku who joined West Brom Albion on a season-long loan in the summer.

Despite having a superb midfield, Chelsea have been lacking someone in the class of Didier Drogba.

With Fernando Torres still misfiring, Roberto Di Matteo is desperate to beef up his attack.

In fact 19-year-old Lukaku was hailed as the next Drogba having the physical resemblance to the Blues legend.

The Belgium star has scored three goals for the Baggies this season

Albion boss Steve Clark confirmed there is a get-out clause which could see Lukaku head back to Stamford Bridge in the new year.

He said: “I haven’t spoken to Chelsea about what might happen.

“I don’t know a one-year loan in the Premier League that doesn’t have a get-out clause.

“But Romelu’s in a better place now than he was when he came to us because he’s played in the Premier League and he’s been a handful.”

Chelsea has another Drogba in the making with Di Matteo singling out Victor Moses for praise after their draw at Swansea City.

Moses's goal at the Liberty Stadium was first league strike for his new club.

The 21-year-old was among Chelsea's best performers in an otherwise pedestrian performance at south Wales.

Di Matteo is pleased by the potential displayed by the Nigeria international.

He said: "He has been doing very well, every time he has played he has performed well. He is still very young but there is a lot more to come from him and I was pleased with him.

"He is a big threat, he has tricks and pace and is becoming more effective when he finds space."
