If Aguero thinks he is the next Maradona…
Are Manchester City ready to be the next Barcelona?
Their amazing squad of players Silva, Aguero, Nasri, Tevez… certainly means they have the talent.
However, manager Roberto Mancini sees it as an untimely curse.
The Manchester City boss says being compared to Barcelona brings far too much pressure.
Mancini was quoted in The Sun as saying: "Yes, it's our target to improve, to win the Premier League and Champions League in the future. But let's see what happens in May. This group of players has only been together for two months and we need time.”
Sergio Aguero hit a hat-trick as City walloped Wigan 3-0 at the Etihad Stadium ahead of Wednesday's Euro clash against Napoli.
And it is Aguero who can make the leap possible for City. Taking inspiration from his father-in-law’s achievements Aguero was quoted in the Daily Mirror as saying, “I hope I can help Manchester City do great things like Diego (Maradona) did with Napoli.”
