Brazilian defender Naldo wants to quit Bundesliga club Werder Bremen during the winter break to return to his home country where he has an offer from Internacional Porto Alegre, so far rejected by the German club.
The 29-year-old, who has been with Werder since 2005 and is under contract until June 2013, hopes a return to Brazil will bolster his chances of playing in the 2014 World Cup.
Naldo has played 12 matches for Werder this season after making his return in August from a knee injury that kept him out of action for 15 months.
