Two new stallions from the German stables have been out on show and in just one outing they have captured the imagination of Europe’s footballing elite.

Andre Schurrle and Marco Reus were German national football team coach Joachim Loew’s idea of mixing it up.

The two young stars however seized their chance on the world stage and against Greece displayed their attacking prowess in no small way.

Suddenly, the Premier League, always the first to move for fresh blood was on the phone.

Or at least according to media reports in the UK.

The fact remains that Schurrle and Reus on one showing impressed more than other one-shows at the Euros: most noticeable Olivier Giroud, already at Arsenal.

Chelsea and Arsenal are reportedly first off the blocks for the two young Germans.

Chelsea in for Leverkusen star Schurrle and Arsenal for Borussia Dortmund’s Reus.

Both the Germans fit the bill for both the clubs.

Chelsea’s pursuit of Wigan’s Victor Moses suggest there is place for a striker and Schurrle’s pace and skills would place him in the Moses category – if not higher.

Reus on the other hand displayed the kind of attacking potential that has some sections of the media suggesting a Robin Van Persie like future at the Emirates.

Reus was also on target for the Germans against Greece

While commentating for French television during Germany's 4-2 win over Greece, Arsene Wenger when asked by colleague Bixente Lizaru if he was on Reus, Wenger replied "yes".
