Mark O’Meara recorded a ‘double’ when the double Major winner led his CNN team to victory in the Omega Dubai Desert Classic Pro Am at the Emirates Golf Club on Wednesday.

The veteran American golfer, who pairing with Tiger Woods won the Challenge Match on Tuesday, continued his good work in the traditional curtain-raiser to the event as well.
His CNN team, which included three amateurs - Jonathan Davies, Shane O’Donoghue, Colin Hancock - carded a stunning 16 under score to take the honours.
The Emirates team, led by Rafael Cabrera-Bello, finished runner-up a shot behind, beating the Carpetland team on a countback.
Gareth Maybin guided the Emirates NBD to victory in the afternoon shot gun. The Emirates NBD team, which comprised Ashish Nanda, Imran Qayyum, Alex Charawani as amateurs, posted a neat 15 under score to win on a countback from the Wasl team.
The CNN team, spearheaded by David Howell, finished third on 14-under.
