DCC support for Mavericks 'Ring of Fire' T20 tournament

Six teams will vie for honours in the Mavericks 5th Ring of Fire T20 Tournament at the Dubai International Stadium from May 14.

Organised by Mavericks in collaboration with Dubai Cricket Council (DCC), the teams that will feature in the tournament are defending champions Dubai Mammoths, last year's runners-up Mavericks, ABB Smashers, Du, National Bank of Fujairah and RowdXI.

The matches will be played on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays in the evening with the starting time scheduled for 7pm.

The tournament is for Second Division teams only and it will be a T20 single round robin format with the top two playing in the final on May 19.

DCC secretary Amin Farooq assured full support to Mavericks for the tournament during a meeting of team captains at the DCC Office at Dubai Silicon Oasis.
