Spectacular half centuries from Shane Watson (79) and Sharjeel Khan (79 not out) saw Islamabad United thrash Lahore Qalandars by eight wickets in the Match 9 of the PSL at Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Wednesday.
The openers shared a record PSL stand of 153 as Islamabad notched their second win after easily chasing down a target of 167.
Islamabad replied with 169-2 in 15.5 overs with Sharjeel hammering two consecutive sixes as they raced to victory.
United's stand-in captain Watson bludgeoned seven sixes and four boundaries in his 47-ball knock while Sharjeel also hammered seven sixes and five boundaries in his blistering innings.
Sharjeel smashes a couple of sixes off Adil as Islamabad thumped Lahore by eight wickets.
