UAE Falcons lifted their first title with a 4-2 win over Dubai Hockey Club at the Lusitanians 11-a-side invitational women's tournament on Friday.

With a much better performance in comparison to their league game, DHC fought well to hold the Falcons to a goalless draw.

However, goals from Heena, Ayesha, Neelma and Ruqiya in the tie-breaker ensured a win for UAE Falcons.

Kelly and Harriet were the scorers for DHC.

Blue Rhine Republicans won the third place trophy with Jenifer Siero scoring the lone goal against Dubai Scholars Pvt School.

LSC also honoured R.M. Bernard, founder of the Sharjah Tigers, by presenting a memento as an appreciation for promoting hockey in the UAE for over three decades.

The main sponsors of the tournament were UAE Exchange & Oilfields Supply Center Ltd with SMATS Group as co-sponsor.
