Sania Mirza in line for third mixed doubles Grand Slam title

Indian tennis star Sania Mirza is in sight of a third mixed doubles Grand Slam title after coming from behind  with her Romanian partner Horia Tecau to enter the Australian Open final on Friday.

Sania and Tecau defeated the Australian pair of Jarmila Gajdosova and Matthew Ebden 2-6, 6-3, 10-2 in a thrilling battle which lasted over an hour.

Sania and Tecau were outplayed in the opening set in just 28 minutes.

But the Indo-Romanian pair roared back in the second helped by nine unforced errors by their rivals to draw level.
Sania and Tecau were almost flawless in the decider not committng a single unforced error to outsmart the local favourites.

Sania had won the Australian Open mixed doubles title with Mahesh Bhupathi in 2009.
