Caroline Wozniacki celebrated her spot as highest seed in the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships with a trip to the world’s highest tower on Saturday.

The 20-year-old Dane visited Burj Khalifa as part of the WTA’s Full of Surprises film shoot, which will be broadcast on the Tour website as well as the Facebook page.
“It’s absolutely amazing,” said the enthusiastic Wozniacki, who was just a little hesitant to venture too close to the glass windows. “The view up here is spectacular. You can see for miles and miles - quite incredible.”
Wozniacki will begin her campaign to claim the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships title for the first time this week. The Danish star won more titles than any other player on the WTA tour during the 2010 season, claiming a total of six wins.
“We are thrilled to welcome Caroline back to Dubai and it’s great she is getting to see some of the sights of the city ahead of the tournament. We are looking forward to seeing her in action once again when the Championships kick off this week,” said Colm McLoughlin, Managing Director of tournament owners and organisers Dubai Duty Free.
“I am feeling really good and looking forward to playing some great tennis here in Dubai,” said Wozniacki.
She will face a massive challenge against opponents such as top Russian Vera Zvonareva, recent Australian Open runner-up Li Na, French Open champion Francesca Schiavone, Australian number one Samantha Stosur, former world number one and US Open finalist Jelena Jankovic, 2010 Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships runner-up Victoria Azarenka and Poland’s top star Agnieszka Radwanska.
The Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships is held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. Play begins on Monday with the WTA Tour event and continues with the ATP tournament from February 21st that includes Australian Open and reigning Dubai champion Novak Djokovic, four-time Dubai winner Roger Federer and Australian Open finalist Andy Murray.
Tickets to the action are still available from both the Stadium’s Box Office and online at www.timeouttickets.com . For further information about the tournament, visit www.dubaidutyfreetennischampionships.com or phone the call centre on +971 4 358 9797.
