With Dubai continuing to lead the luxury market in the GCC region, the upcoming ‘Big Boys Toys 2014’ will host the world’s leading brands in marine, cars and adventure sports.

“The Middle East is one of the 10 largest luxury goods markets with sales exceeding $7.77 billion. Out of these, Dubai accounts for 30 per cent of the regional luxury market according to Bain & Company’s 2013 report,” said Biju Jayaraaj, Chief Executive Officer, Artaaj Events, the organisers of the show.

“With the region’s strong affinity to luxury brands, Big Boys Toys targets affluent residents across the Middle East, particularly in Dubai, with an array of products across various segments such as specialty cars and bikes, along with custom-built off-road and underwater vehicles and gadgets,” he added.

In a media statement today, organisers said the unique collection at the venue should appeals to high-net worth individuals from the region. More than 100 exhibitors from around the world are all set to attend.

Among the products that visitors will experience are the Triton Submarines, the world’s deepest diving submersible equipped with a transparent pressure hull for a visually captivating underwater view; Rage Buggies, the ultimate off-road vehicles tested by World Rally and Formula 1 drivers; and Deep Trekker, an innovative remotely operated underwater camera, to name a few.

Other marine products to be showcased include the Seabreacher, a diving machine that can jump up to 90 degrees out of water; C-explorer 5 Submersible, the world’s first underwater limousine; Zapata Racing Flyboard, the ultimate gadget for freestyle stunts and Jetovator, a gadget that turns a jet ski into a flying machine.

In addition, among the other off-road and vehicle products to be highlighted at the show are the T-RM, the first Tacita supermoto; Elmoto, a 100 per cent electric eco-friendly bike; DTV Shredder, a hybrid product that combines motocross and ATV with board sports; Airwheel, a one-wheel balancing transportation device; and Onewheel, the self-balancing electric skateboard.

Taking place from October 3-5 at its new playground, Skydive Dubai, the event will showcase innovative and futuristic products available today, and organisers hope it will be the highlight of this year’s Eid Al Adha celebrations in Dubai.

The 5th Edition of the event will also have an outdoor arena that will allow visitors to witness live demonstrations and water adventure experiences. The categories include drive, lifestyle, marine, aviation, digital, wellness, adventure, off-road, ride and fashion.

The show has also confirmed the return of the supercar test drive pit this year. Organisers expect to welcome over 40,000 visitors, a majority if which they hope will be high-net-worth individuals.
