Dubai: Passing through a Salik toll gate, and unsure if you have enough balance to drive through?

There’s no need to worry if you receive an ‘insufficient balance’ notification on your phone – there are several easy, instant ways to top up your Salik account, whether from your smartphone, a petrol station, or a number of other convenient locations around Dubai.

Here are all nine different ways you can recharge your Salik account.

1. Salik website

The official Salik website makes it easy to both check your account balance, and recharge once you do. Follow these steps to top up your account:

  • Visit the Salik website at salik.ae. If you have an existing Salik account, sign in with your username and password.
  • If you have not set up an account since buying your Salik tag, it’s worth taking a few minutes to do so – your account helps you oversee all your tags, monitor usage, and track toll expenses. To register, you will need your Salik account number, along with your car plate number and mobile phone number. Once you sign up, you will receive a one-time password (OTP) for verification, in order to complete the registration process.
  • Next, navigate to the dashboard to see your remaining balance, and recent activity. Click on ‘Recharge’.
  • Select the amount you would like to pay into your Salik account. Enter your credit or debit card information and complete the payment.

2. Smart Salik app

The official Salik app allows you a quick and easy way to recharge via your smartphone. Follow these steps:
