Dubai: The UAE’s air defence systems are currently responding to missile and drone threats, according to the UAE Ministry of Defence.

The Ministry confirmed that sounds heard in scattered areas across the country were the result of air defence systems intercepting ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

UAE air defence units actively engaged incoming missile and drone threats. The Ministry of Defence stated that the sounds reported nationwide were linked to interception operations involving missiles and UAVs.
