Video of teenager assaulted by his colleague in RAK club is old

Sports and Cultural Club in Ras Al Khaimah said a video showing a 13-year-old teenage boy assaulted by his colleague inside the club is old.

It said the video was filmed seven months ago, Arabic daily Al Khaleej newspaper reported.

The Club said it had summoned parents of the two teenagers after the video was circulated.

The management issued a statement rejecting any wrongdoing inside the Club, claiming that it was installing monitoring cameras in all of its facilities to monitor activities of all club goers and ascertain wrongdoing by any member.

The video – which is less than 30 seconds – went viral among the teenagers. It shows one teenager kicking the other violently and the victim falling on the ground and the culprit forcing him to stop crying.
