3 soldiers held for enacting “hanging”

Kuwaiti authorities arrested three army soldiers for enacting the hanging of another soldier and publishing it online “for fun.”

The army intelligence said they arrested the three after the filmed act attracted thousands of viewers on social networks.

“The soldiers said they had done so just for fun and that they had not expected the act to attract such a big audience,” Kuwaiti newspapers said, quoting an army source.

It said the arrest followed a statement by the army denying that one of its soldiers had been hanged or had committed a suicide.
