Chicken heads meal for Saudi prison inmates

Inmates at a Saudi prison were forced to have a meal containing chicken heads, according to a local newspaper, which said prison officials are probing the report.

Sada Arabic language newspaper carried a U-Tube film showing the cooked heads meal and quoted social network viewers as saying it was served at prison in the southern Saudi town of Najran. It said many viewers called on local human rights groups to intervene after describing the incident as a “disaster.”

The paper quoted prisons department spokesman Major Abdullah Al Harbi as saying authorities are investigating whether the film is true, adding that strict measures would be taken against those responsible for the meal.
