Man tries to smuggle girl in car boot

Saudi customs officials on King Fahd Causeway linking the Gulf kingdom with nearby Bahrain foiled an attempt by a Bahraini man to smuggle a Ukrainian girl into the kingdom.

Inspectors searching the car found the girl hiding under mattresses in the boot of the 4-wheel vehicle, which contained clothes and blankets.

Customs Director Daifallah Al Otaibi, quoted by ‘Sabq’, said it was the second girl smuggling attempt on the Causeway in less than two months.
